1. Overview

BeyondWake is a journaling and self-understanding platform. This draft explains the kinds of information we expect to collect, how it may be used, and the choices you will have. It is not yet a final public privacy notice.

Plain-language summary

Your journal is private by default. This draft is being prepared for formal legal review before public launch.

2. Information we collect

We intend to collect only the information needed to provide and improve BeyondWake. This may include:

  • Account details such as your name and email address.
  • Journal entries, reflections and related content you choose to save.
  • Basic usage and technical information needed to keep the service reliable.
  • Messages you send to our support team.

Newsletter subscriptions

Signing up to Letters from BeyondWake is optional. We send your email address and newsletter consent to Mailercloud to manage subscriptions and email confirmation. Your subscription starts after you confirm your address. You can unsubscribe using the link in newsletter emails. Newsletter signup does not send journal entries to Mailercloud.

3. How we use information

We may use information to operate, maintain and improve BeyondWake, personalise settings you choose, respond to requests and meet legal obligations. We do not intend to sell personal data or use private journal entries for advertising.

4. Your choices and rights

The final policy will explain how to access, correct, export or delete personal information, and how to raise a privacy concern. Availability of particular rights depends on applicable law.

5. Data retention

We intend to retain information only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements or resolve disputes. Final retention periods will be set before public launch.

6. Security

We plan proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so the final policy will also explain how to report a suspected issue.
